Creating a Haven from Hunger

LA GRANDE, Ore. — Hunger pictured through the eyes of a child can look like an empty cupboard, a family outside a grocery store, or a food basket for someone in need. Three years ago, Bill Grigsby, an associate professor of sociology at Eastern Oregon University, developed a calendar project to raise awareness of hunger and food insecurity in the community.
