A business consulting
project with Chartwells Food Service, campus food provider,
in which the EOU SIFE Team aided with promotion, planning,
and performance of two events where the student cafeteria
was transformed into an upper-class restaurant and students
were served a fabulous dinner and were shown a movie. The
SIFE Team had post-event meetings with the managers of Chartwells
and discussed how the event was, and what could be done to
improve it. In addition, SIFE provided Chartwells with insight
as to students needs and wants.
Results:
The two identical events were profitable both for Chartwells
and for the Team. They drew a significant number of students
and several community members, and strengthened Chartwells
relationship with SIFE and the local community. The event
also taught Chartwells how to reach out to the students in
a positive and successful way.
