A business consulting
project with the ASEOU Student Government that determined
the feasibility of a used textbooks exchange for students.
The EOU SIFE Team conducted a survey of 3.5% of the EOU student
population. Survey asked about students' current textbook
buying/selling experience, preferred method of payment, and
what they would like to see before they would use a book exchange.
Results:
An online book exchange called the EOU Book Trade was formed
during Fall Term of 2002 in which about 30 textbooks were
listed. There are currently 50 textbooks listed in 16 different
subjects that students are saving more than 25% off of the
campus bookstore prices.
