Undergraduate research at EOU offers an excellent learning opportunity. Students may work one-on-one with faculty, or in small groups to learn first-hand what research is really like. They participate in activities such as designing experiments, collecting and analyzing data, writing articles for scientific publications, presenting at conferences, and training other students in research techniques. Students may work in laboratory and/or field settings, helping them to develop and hone their scientific skills. These hands-on experiences allow students to become familiar with scientific processes and to explore areas of science that may interest them.
