Overview

Dr. Antell's most recent student research project has been setting up biomonitoring projects on newly restored streams in NE Oregon to assess water quality improvement using aquatic invertebrate samples as indicator species for stream health.

Student Role

Students have been involved in sample collection and identification.  During spring term 2006, six students learned how to follow DEQ protocols for stream sampling and collection, and also how to identify invertebrates.
