Polo Team

Founded in the fall of 2002 by Melissa Joseph and Dylan Botam, the Eastern Oregon University Polo club is based in La Grande, Oregon.  The EOU Team is part of a growing effort to establish a Northwestern Region for Intercollegiate polo.

You do not need any experience or equipment to join the club, everything is provided for the year.  There are dues of $50 per term, an exceptionally small sum to play polo and ride horses on an unlimited basis.  In addition, to be eligible to play polo, members pay the annual U.S.P.A. dues of $35.

If you are interested in joining, the team typically holds practices on Monday and Thursdays at 3:30 pm and Sunday afternoons at the La Grande community polo field on Pierce Rd. approx. 4 miles southeast of La Grande on HWY 30, during the fall and spring.  Through the winter term, practices are held in a local in-door arena due to weather.
