To ensure a smooth transition to college use this checklist of important steps.

1.  Register for a SOAR Program (541) 962-3520

• The Student, Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) Program is designed to provide students with advising information, an opportunity to take math/writing placement tests, and advising assistance with course selection and registration.

2.  Apply for Financial Aid at http://www.eou.edu/fao (541)962-3550

• To be considered for financial aid from federal and state sources, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and include EOU as one of your first six choices.  EOU's school code is 003193.

3.  Apply for On-Campus Housing http://www3.eou.edu/reslife (541) 962-3553

• All new students 19 years of age and younger at the time of enrollment are required to live on campus. 
• Housing options include our new suite style residence hall and traditional dormitory rooms.
• Housing contracts are available on-line at http://www3.eou.edu/reslife/documents/ResLifeApplication2008-09.pdf.

4.  Visit the Advising Website http://www.eou.edu/advising (541) 962-3520

• If you have decided on a major, you can view the program checklist by accessing the Major/Minor checklist menu.
• You can also view the advising tutorial to familiarize yourself with terminology and requirements.
