Services

Services provided by the Multicultural Center (MC) include:

 

providing students with advice on a variety of issues regarding their cultural, social, professional, and academic development.

Through collaborative efforts with academic departments, the MC assists student with providing tutorial services, academic advising and other information sessions for students to develop skill that ensures their academic success.

The Multicultural Center works with the Multicultural Student Council to advocate on behalf of students on diversity issues that impact individual student and the campus community.

In collaboration with Admissions Office, the Multicultural Center engages in outreach to prospective and newly admitted students by raising their awareness of who we are, what we have to offer, and how they can get involved when they come to EOU.

Student clubs are a significant part of our campus community.  The Multicultural Center offers students various opportunities to learn and appreciate their own cultural background, interests, values, beliefs, etc., as well as the diverse backgrounds of other student groups.  Recognized Multicultural Student organizations include, Black Student Union, Impacto Latino Club, International Student Association, Navigators Club, Island Magic Club, Speel-Ya Native American Student Club, SAGE-Women Research & Resource Center, Gay Straight Alliance, and the Multicultural Student Council.
