Eastern Oregon University's International Student Association (ISA) has been active as a club for over twenty years. The club name was changed from the previous International Relations Club to International Student Association (ISA)
There are approximately ninety international students enrolled at Eastern from more eighty (80) different countries. The goal for ISA is to reach out to the campus community and the La Grande community by sharing our cultures. Through various events, we hope to educate the community about the different cultures of the world we represent and to help promote diversity.
The club consists of club 4 committees of which every member of the club is required to participate in. These are:
FUNDRAISING & ADVERTISING COMMITTEE
The purpose of this committee is to prepare and design tickets, do marketing and advertising, create posters and distribute marketing materials to various places.
FOOD SERVICE COMMITTEE
The purpose of this committee is to work with food vendors such as Aramark, and Albertons for event menu, food recipes and preparation as well as sponsorship. This committee is also in charge of ensuring that all participants in the kitchen acquire a Food Handler card.
STAGE COMMITTEE
The purpose of this committee is to work with on campus departments such as Theater and Facility Scheduling for set-up, booking a location, performance and registrations. This committee also researches potential Master of Ceremonies as well as volunteers from other clubs/organization to assist in the event.
