Presidential Candidates

Calli Nelson

Having the job of senator is important to me because I am passionate in making a difference for the better for students on campus. I have been a senator for the past year, and thus have had experience in many of the areas they encounter. I have been dedicated to my senate duties fully this year, making sure that the student voice on campus is heard.

The issue that matters the most to me is communication. A well informed campus is a superior campus. The more information students have, the better involved they can be and the more we can offer to prospective students.  Getting my peers involved in campus affairs so that they may suggest changes to benefit the student population at large is a worthwhile cause.

At this time I sit on multiple committees which take up a fair amount of my time. I am also a member of several clubs, including Honors, Pre-Law Society, and History Club. They, like most activities on campus have busy periods and slow periods, so my schedule is usually balanced out to allow time for both homework and completion of senate projects
